My New Family

What is happening Today?
Hi everyone, we are three weeks into the school now. So far we have had the privilege of hearing from two amazing speakers. The first one being Mekeisha Smith. She started the DTS off by sharing God's amazing love towards us, one of the coolest things about this love is that God initiates it, and that no matter what we do it does not change. The second week we had the privilege of having Jim Stier speak in the school. For those of you who do not know who Jim is, he is just a missionary to Brazil. He first started his missionary career when it was not cool to be a young missionary, and he started by going to Brazil. Brazil at the time only received missionaries, but since his time there, they are number three in the world behind the US and South Korea in sending missionaries. He literally has transformed a nation, just by being obedient to God's next step in his life. Jim shared with us on the subjects of Hope, Love, and Faith. And if we lay hope as our foundation, we will have faith to get through the tough times and through that, love will not only be a characteristic of our lives, but the definition. This week we get the wonderful opportunity to hear from another YWAM great, Peter Iliyn. He oversees the work YWAM does in North America, and this week he will be sharing on the Father Heart of God through the story of his Father's childhood.
Since the start of the school though my job description has been redefined. I never got the chance to live with the students much to my disappointment, because my room got maxed out with the addition of a few other students. So in addition to my work load, that of being the head of the transportation and work duty departments for the school, I have been assigned to also get the mail and pass it out to the students. I have also been put in charge of the Nations Project, a project that gets the students to learn more about the history of other nations, to memorize the countries of the world, but mainly to develop a heart for the nations. Our hope that in doing this, they will be more aware of things happening in the world, so not only can they pray of the nations, but possibly be the answer to their own prayers.
We have finished praying about where we are going on outreach and we will be sending one team to Thailand and another to Columbia. I will be on the team going to Columbia!, other news is that in prayer, me and my partner for the mini-DTS this summer have decided to continue working on developing the mini-DTS, but running it next summer. Sorry everyone.

Prayer Requests
Thank you all so much for all of your prayers. Here are a few others:
-Please pray for wisdom in leading this DTS and for wisdom and insight into planning the mini-DTS for next summer.
-Please pray that I will continue to search God's heart on behalf of the students.
-Please pray for provision for my trip to Columbia in early April.

Thank you everybody, and please email me with any prayer requests of your own.

Hey. Waiting until next summer seems a smart move since you're busy with DTS staff and preping for outreach. Keep preseing on, bro.
