What is going on?

Hi everyone, sorry I have been busy and have not made time to update my blog. I am doing great, a little tired, but let me catch you up on all that has been happening. The DTS is moving by quickly, we are already nearly halfway through it, and soon it will be time for outreach. We have been busy to this point in lecture learning about the God we have come to serve. We have had many diverse speakers, some YWAMers, some not, some Calvinists, some Arminianists, ect... I don't know if any two hold the same secondary beliefs (beliefs other than Christ is the Lord, Savior, and Redeemer of the world). This challenges the student's (and staff's, myself inclueded) beliefs, challenging them to remove their biases and look at the scripture through God's eyes instead of their own. The students are also challenged to apply what they learn in the community setting in which they live, and in Salem when they go out.
If you have not heard yet, the class as divided into two teams one going to Thailand and then the team that I will be co-leading will be going to Colombia. We are still working out the details for the trip, but so far it looks like this....We will fly into Cartegena, Colombia sometime around April 6th. We will orientate in that city and then work on two seperate island ministries off the coast from the city. Both of which have to deal with ex-slave inhabitants. From there, we will split into two teams. My group will be traveling to Bogota, Colombia for the final month, and the other will be working in Baranquilla, Colombia. In Bogota we will be ministering to orphans, street children, and the local church.
Thank you all so much for you concern and prayers.

Some prayer requests are for the outreach planning, that as staff we would be given wisdom and guidance in our decisions. That immunizations would go smoothely, and that all of the student and staff's finances would come in. At last count, the need was nearly $40,000.00. Thank you so much!
