Airport Pick-ups

Here everybody are a few visual aids of my main task here at the St. Marc base of picking up teams from the airport, and talking to them about Haiti.

This is the nicely paved Haitian highway that leads all the way from St. Marc to Port-au-Prince. (And it will soon continue up the coast to Gonaives...with pavement.)

My competition....these men are all too eager to help, for a small fee of course (20 USD). My job is to keep them away from our poor unsuspecting arrivals. This is usually much easier sounding than it is to carry out. They can be mighty persistent.
