Missions Adventure: Aventura Misiones

It has been a few weeks now since my last post, and since then a lot has been happening. I have started the recruiting process for the Fall DTS that starts on September the 7th. So far we have about seventeen students or so that are on the verge of being accepted for the school. About six or seven of which are guys.
This past week has been the busiest of them all. My brother, Cody, and a team from my church in Ohio went down to Haiti. And at my request he was able to bless a family there at the YWAM in St. Marc with some peanut butter. The family had done their DTS and SOE with me in Tyler, TX, that is how I know them. They were very grateful to have something besides beans, rice, and old hot dogs to eat. Many great things came from the teams trip there, and God did many grand works in and through each of the team members. I have been busy here working with a new program for our base called Missions Adventure. I had to work many 16 hour days, but it was well worth it to see God move and work in the lives of the youth group. The leaders' fire was rekindled, and many of the students stepped out of their comfort zones and grew in the Lord. God really worked in and through the program.

The Return...

I returned to Salem on Tuesday, two weeks ago, and immediately got plugged into whatever I could get my hands on. I started following the Missions Adventure around, learning my role for when I staff the next one in a week from Monday. I also started to work in the kitchen, preparing lunch, and then cleaning it up when it is finished. This past week I worked more regularly in the kitchen, working everyday except Tuesday. I also started making phone calls, sending emails, and anything else that I could do to help in the recruiting process for the next DTS that I will staff in September. So far we have a total of nine students accepted into the program.
Spiritually God has been taking me to a greater level of intimacy, but it has not been the most pleasant journey he has taken me on, and quite frankly I do not think I have seen the end of it yet. Actually I know that I am not finished with it yet. It is a journey that I will always be on. This journey started with me being stripped of all my closest mentors and even friends. It does not end there though, God has blessed me on this last pass through Hartville in building upon some more relationships and he even blessed me with a mentor. God is good, and in these trying few weeks, God has be teaching me about faith and trusting him more. He has also proved to me that he is always there through thick and thin. This is no longer a point of theology , but something that I have rather experienced first hand. The real test in life is how willing am I to seek him out, in everything, I am beyond the point of even talking about a thirty minute devotional at the start of your day, I am talking about bringing every thought captive before Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and making it my primary objective in the day to meet with him. Multiple times, because lets face it, I am not the most qualified person for this job. I need all the help that I can get.

La prueba real en vida es cómo quiere soy para buscarlo hacia fuera, en todo, I am beyond the point of even talking about a thirty minute devotional at the start of your day, estoy hablando trayendo a cada cautivo del pensamiento antes de Cristo (2 Corinthians 10: 5), and making it my primary objective in the day to meet with him. Multiple times, because lets face it, No soy la persona más calificada para este trabajo. Necesito toda la ayuda que puedo conseguir.
